Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G and Note 10s launched in Kenya

Since 5G is taking shape locally and official testing launched by Safaricom in partnership with Huawei and Nokia, Xiaomi has been one of the leading brands in bringing 5G capable devices at a more affordable price point. We have already seen the Xiaomi Redmi 9T 5G availability in Kenya for less than Ksh 30,000 and now the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G.

Xiaomi Kenya held a launch event on June 25 to showcase their latest phones in the market. They announced two phones, the Redmi Note 10 5G and Note 10s adding up to their Note series of 2021. If you are wondering about the rest, they had earlier launched them locally and currently on sale.

Redmi Note 10 5G specifications and price

The phone comes powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G octa-core processer and Mali G57 Graphics Processing Unit. The display is a 6.5 inches FHD+ LCD panel that has 90Hz refresh rate support. For storage options, you can choose between 4GB/64GB,4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB. It comes with MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box and scheduled for MIUI 12.5 later on.

For the cameras, the phone has a 48MP+2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor triple rear setup and an 8MP selfie camera. The rear camera can shoot up to 1080p@30fps which is the same resolution the selfie camera can shoot at. The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via USB Type-C.

Other features include side mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, Infrared port and 3.5mm jack

for the price, the 4GB/64GB is set at Ksh 18,499, 4GB/128GB is set at Ksh 23,499 while the 6GB/128GB variant is set at Ksh 25,499.

Redmi Note 10s specifications and pricing

The 10s on the other hand dubbed as the 64MP adventurer comes with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with gorilla glass 3 protection. inside is the MediaTek Helio G95 processer and Mali G76 Graphics Processing Unit. It comes with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. the storage options on this phone are 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. The Redmi Note 10s features a 5000mAh capacity battery that supports 33W fast charging and the 33W power adapter is included in-box.

To the cameras, you get 64MP+8MP Ultra wide+2MP Macro and 2MP depth sensor quad rear setup and a 13MP selfie shooter. The rear camera can record videos up to 4K@30fps while the selfie camera shoots up to 1080p@30fps.

For the price, the phone has a starting point of Ksh 19,499 for the 6GB/64GB, Ksh 26,999 for the 6GB/128GB, and Ksh 28,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
