Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Official Launch

Samsung Z flip 3 launched today on the 11th of August and we had leaks coming in hot, we already have a picture of how the beautiful piece of tech looks like. Samsung has put the rumours to sleep today in their Samsung Unpacked event themed Get Ready To Unfold. Galaxy Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Buds are some of the devices launched alongside the Z Flip

Let’s jump right into it. The Z Flip 3 was launched today in a live virtual event and this is what to expect. The Z Flip has taken a leap compared to the original Z Flip.

Key Features.

One of the first things you will notice once you pick up the device is the new design and the bigger external screen is a 1.9-inch Gorilla Glass victus display panel. Apart from using the cover display as a viewfinder, it is way more functional now thanks to the bigger display. The display lets you swipe through available widgets, notifications can now be read and replied to, thanks to Bixby. Samsung has maintained the main display, a 6.7-inch 25:9 tall aspect ratio which is pretty tall. The display however comes with a warping 120Hz refresh rate. The Z Flip features a dual rear camera set-up both having a 12 MP one having a regular-wide lens and the other ultra-wide lens. We are not getting the under-display camera for the Z Flip like The Fold 3. It is however has a 10MP selfie camera.

The Device comes with a Flagship processor Snapdragon 888 with 128GB/8G RAM or 256GB/8GB RAM. The gadget also has a 5nm chip which is said to boost CPU 12%, GPU 25% and NPU 60%. The gadget is IPX8 which is the world’s first water-resistant foldable alongside the Galaxy Fold 3. This however does not mean it is dust resistant. The Z Flip comes with other features like the Flex Mode which is a feature exclusively for this device.

The Z Flip will be available for preorder from 6th September to 20th September 2021 starting price is $999 which is cheaper than the original Flip. The retail price is kshs 122,999. The preorder offer includes complementary gifts like a leather cover and Samsung care+. The choices of colour you get are Cream, Green, Lavender and Phantom Black. Samsung.com will also carry exclusive colour options including Gray, Pink and White.
