POCO F4 GT launched globally with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 120W fast charging

The POCO GT series is the gaming segment of the POCO brand which is a spin-off brand of Xiaomi. The brand focuses on giving consumers better specs at a well-thought-out price range. The POCO F4 GT is the successor of the F3 GT adding some new features to the lineup.

The phone comes with a 6.67″ AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has Gorilla glass victus protection. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G processer coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Out of the box, the Poco F4 GT comes with MIUI 13 for POCO based on Android 12.

To the cameras, the phone comes with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP Ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. on the front, you get a 20MP selfie shooter. The F4 GT can record videos up to 4K@60fps on the rear camera and up to 1080p@60fps on the front camera.

The battery has 4700mAh capacity and charges using the included 120W charger which promises 100% in 17 minutes according to POCO. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, Infrared port, NFC, and stereo speakers tuned by JBL. The phone also brings magnetic pop-up triggers used during gaming.

For the Price, the phone starts at €600 which is approximately Ksh 73,800. The phone availability in Kenya is not yet known but once it arrives we will update you on it.
