Apple announces ‘Scary Fast’ October Event: Here’s what to expect.

Apple is prepping for another thrilling product extravaganza on October 30th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT / 3 AM EAT. They’ve sent out invites, and this one’s aptly titled “Scary Fast,” which has Mac enthusiasts buzzing.

Their event page sports a sassy animation of the Apple logo shape-shifting into the Finder icon, pretty much shouting, “Hey, new Macs are knocking at the door!” Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman even dropped hints about a secret “Mac-centered product launch.” Rumor has it, the lineup might feature a spruced-up 24-inch iMac and a spanking new MacBook Pro. And it’s not just rumors; Apple’s dwindling inventory of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros and iMacs adds a dash of suspense, like the plot twist in a blockbuster. Apple made a significant move in 2020 by debuting its own M1 silicon chipset for its computer range, departing from its long-standing reliance on Intel’s one-size-fits-all solution. During this transition, Apple boldly asserted that its M1 chip boasted the world’s swiftest CPU core and the most rapid integrated graphics found in a personal computer. In the previous year, Apple introduced the M2 chip to its MacBook series.

Why “Scary Fast”? Well, word on the digital street is that Apple’s cooking up a speedier chip, the M3, for these machines. That’s the turbo boost they might be teasing with this event name. But, hold on to your excitement if you were hoping for new iPads; the oracle of Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo, hints we might have to twiddle our thumbs until next year.

Just in September, Apple dazzled us with the “Wonderlust” event, unveiling the iPhone 15 lineup, snazzy Apple Watch updates, and AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case. They even slipped in a more wallet-friendly Apple Pencil variant. With Apple’s next show just around the corner, patience isn’t the name of the game. Fasten your seatbelts, folks; there are thrilling surprises just a week away! The event will be online on their website and YouTube channel.
