Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and A33 5G are now official

Samsung has officially unveiled their latest Galaxy A series devices the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G. The two continue with bringing better specs at relatively cheaper prices. The A53 5G and A33 5G also mark a new beginning with 5G in mind for that segment. So far in Kenya, the growth of 5G ready phones has seen huge growth since Safaricom announced it and 2022 is the year we shall see even more 5G usability.

The A53 5G and A33 5G both feature IP67 dust and water resistance, Exynos 1280 5nm 5G processer, 6/8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Something to note, Samsung will be selling these new devices without the charger in the box so be ready to buy the charger separately when purchasing these devices. Samsung is also revamping software updates years for these two devices and when you buy the Galaxy A53 5G or the A33 5G you will be assured of 4 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security updates.

Galaxy A53 5G specifications

The phone comes with a 6.5″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display which supports 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Out of the box, you get One UI 4.1 based on Android 12. Samsung has promised 4 Years of major updates and 5 Years of security updates.

To the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes with a 64MP main camera which supports Optical Image Stabilization, 12MP Ultra-wide, 5MP depth, and 5MP macro. In the front is a 32MP shooter. The rear cameras can shoot up to 4K@30fps videos while the front camera shoots up to 4K@30fps

Galaxy A33 5G specifications

The Samsung galaxy A33 5G comes with a 6.4″ Super AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone comes with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box with support to 4 Years of major updates and 5 Years of security updates. Talking about security, the Galaxy A33 5G comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The main camera has 48MP and supports Optical Image Stabilization. The rest of the lenses are 8MP Ultra-wide, 2MP depth, and 5MP macro. The front features a 13MP shooter. The rear camera can shoot up to 4K@30fps videos while the front shoots up to 1080p@30fps videos.
